REMINDER

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Athens, wishes to remind the general public that the administrative fees of 40 euro for visa application and 25 euro for Nigerian Passports remain abolished.

However, a statutory fee for other services rendered by the Embassy remains as follows:

  1. Authentication of Documents ---------- 30 euro
  2. Legalization ------------------------------ 225 euro
  3. Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC) --- 50 euro
  4. Consular letters ------------------------- 30 euro

ONLINE VISA APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES
Please Read Carefully

All applications and payments are to be made through the Nigeria Immigration website at: https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/pages/welcome.

  • After filling out forms online, submit and print them out; proceed to payment section; choose payment with money order option and make sure you have the actual fees in money order, as you will be required to input details of the money order in the system.
  • The current visa fee for Greek passport holders is 180 euro, and subject to change.
  • For current visa fee for all countries, please go to: www.innovate1services.com. Go to column Support and click on countries and processing fee. Please note that an additional transaction of $20 fee is added to the amount stated therein.
  • Please note that, in addition to the visa and passport fees paid online, the embassy charges additional processing fee of 40 euro
  • Please note that, once applications are submitted, fees paid are not refundable.
    AT APPLICANT'S DISCRETION, VISA OR PASSPORT FEE CAN BE PAID EITHER WITH CREDIT/DEBIT CARD OR MONEY ORDER MADE TO: INNOVATE 1 SERVICES LLC/FGN.

Please Note:

Applicants with Dutch Passport MUST show evidence of registration with the Greek Immigration police and Non-Greek Nationals MUST attach residence permit while EU Nationals resident in Greece MUST show evidence of registration with the Greek Immigration police or any other document evidence of residence in Greece e.g Tax number, Utility bills in the name of the applicant.


TRANSIT VISA

"Obtainable at Nigerian Missions"

Eligibility

Tourist Visa is available to citizens of all countries except ECOWAS Nationals who do not require visa to visit Nigeria and other countries which has entered into visa abolition agreements.

Class of Persons Eligible to Transit Visa

  • Foreign Travelers wishing to enter Nigeria for onward destination outside the country.


DOCUMENTS FOR TRANSIT VISA

  • Current passport (with at least 6 months validity and 2 blank visa pages for endorsement)
  • Completed Transit visa application form
  • Confirmation of online payment
  • 2 recent passport size pictures (35/40mm) with white background
  • Confirmed ticket to destination outside Nigeria.
  • Evidence of Hotel reservation.
  • Evidence of sufficient funds.
  • Travel reservations
  • Travel insurance
  • Vaccination card against yellow fever.

Validity:

7 days Maximum period of stay.

TOURIST

Eligibility

Tourist Visa is available to citizens of all countries except ECOWAS Nationals who do not require visa to visit Nigeria and other countries which has entered into visa abolition agreements.

Categories:

  1. Foreign Travelers who wish to visit Nigeria for the purpose of Tourism.
  2. Foreign Travelers who wish to visit family and friends.

DOCUMENTS FOR TOURIST VISA

  • Current passport (with at least 6 months validity and 2 blank visa pages for endorsement)
  • Completed visa application form
  • Confirmation of online payment
  • 2 recent passport size pictures (35/40mm) with white background
  • Letter of invitation from Host accepting full immigration responsibility
  • Data page of Host passport,
  • Confirmed hotel reservation, if the applicant is not staying with Host
  • Evidence of sufficient funds.
  • Travel reservations
  • Travel insurance
  • Vaccination card against yellow fever.

BUSINESS VISA

Obtainable at Nigerian Missions, except for special cases where Visa on Arrival is allowed

Eligibility

Business Visa is available to citizens of all countries except ECOWAS Nationals who do not require visa to visit Nigeria and other countries which has entered into visa abolition agreements.

Class of Persons Eligible to Business Visa

  • Foreign Travelers who wish to visit Nigeria for the purpose of Meeting, Conference, Seminar, Contract Negotiation, Marketing, Sales, Purchase distribution of Nigerian Goods, Trade Fairs, Job Interviews, Training of Nigerians, Emergency/Relief work, Crew members, Staff of NGOs, Staff of INGOs, Researchers, Musical Concerts.

DOCUMENTS FOR BUSINESS VISA

  • Current passport (with at least 6 months validity and 2 blank visa pages for endorsement)
  • Completed visa application form
  • Confirmation of online payment
  • 2 passport size pictures (35/40mm) with white background
  • Letter of invitation from Host company, in Nigeria, accepting full immigration and financial responsibility as well as stating purpose of visit (and duration of stay)Letter of introduction from applicant's company or organization
  • Travel reservation
  • Evidence of sufficient funds.
  • Evidence of Hotel Reservation/host address in Nigeria
  • Travel insurance
  • Vaccination card against yellow fever

Validity:

Validity of stay is 90 days (not extendable)

TEMPORARY WORK PERMIT (TWP) VISA

  • Processing fee of 130 euro per applicant
  • For any type of work to be carried out in Nigeria (installation, training, repairs, demonstration of machinery, seminars a TWP visa is necessary (Temporary Work Permit.) The Nigerian Company must send you letters of invitation for TWP as well as the required cables from the Nigerian Immigration Service.

DOCUMENTS FOR TEMPORARY WORK PERMIT VISA

  • Current passport (with at least 6 months validity and 2 blank visa pages for endorsement)
  • Completed visa application form
  • Confirmation of online payment
  • 2 passport size pictures (35/40mm) with white background
  • Copy of Comptroller General of Immigration's approval cable visa that lists the applicant’s name
  • Letter of introduction from Host organization in Nigeria
  • Copy of airline ticket or flight itinerary (WHERE APPLICABLE)
  • Formal application from Host company in Nigeria, attaching a copy of the work order indication the exact job to be performed by the expert.
  • Copy of certificate of incorporation of Host company in Nigeria.
  • Travel insurance
  • Vaccination card against yellow fever

STR (SUBJECT TO REGULARIZATION) VISA

Each stamp with signature is 30 Euro x 4 - according to the number of documents to be stamped. The maximum amount we can charge is 1,200 Euro. Apart from the visa and stamped cost, a 40 Euro service fee is payable to the Embassy on the day of submission.

STR visa requirements are the following: (Visa for staying and working in Nigeria)

  • Current passport (with at least 6 months validity and 2 blank visa pages for endorsement)
  • 4 Completed applications for STR Visa (through the Nigeria Immigration Service website) and print the please
  • 4 Copies of payment confirmation from the NIS website printed
  • 4 Copies Offers of employment/contract
  • 4 Copies Expatriate Quotas from Nigerian Immigration
  • 4 Copies, Letters of acceptance of employment
  • 4 Copies of Certificates of Incorporation of the company
  • 4 Copies of CV
  • 4 Certified Copies of University degrees (translated into English if they are from a non-English educational institution. (The translation and certification shall be done by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs If the copies of the University degrees are in English, they have to be certified either by the School or by the competent cultural organization of the English speaking country (British Council if they are from England)
  • 4 Copies of applicant's criminal record translated and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • 4 Copies of health certificates translated and certified

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  1. Please note that once applications have been submitted to the embassy, visas and processing fees are not refundable; notwithstanding if visas are granted or not.
  2. Please note that application processing fees are not refundable once submitted for processing

EMBASSY DROP OFF & COLLECTION

The Embassy of Nigeria, Athens, Greece Visa Office, is open for Monday and Wednesday, between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

SUMMARIZED STEPS ON HOW TO FILL OUT ONLINE VISA APPLICATION

STEP 1: Go to Nigeria Immigration website at: https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/pages/welcome

STEP 2: Select Entry Visa

STEP 3: Click on Processing Country, select Greece

STEP 4: Click on Start Application

STEP 5: The application is on the Innovate1 Services website. Please log in with your existing Google email or Yahoo email account, otherwise select the open ID option and create an account for the application process

STEP 6: After logging in, start the application process and register your account with Innovate1 Services

STEP 7: Choose Athens, Greece office as your processing office

STEP 8: Please complete the form and click on the SUBMIT button, then print out the entire form (seven pages in total)

STEP 9: Once the application has been successfully submitted you will be provided with an application ID and reference number

STEP 10: Using the Application ID and Reference number, please proceed and make the VISA FEE PAYMENT with your debit or credit card

STEP 11: Please print out your Visa Payment Slip and Visa Acknowledgment form

STEP 12: Print and bring filled application with accompanying documents to the Embassy:
